As a special welcome to all potential pupils, I provide
the FIRST MUSIC/THEORY LESSON FREE OF CHARGE! A sort
of "get to know you" session, where we can
find out about each other and discuss what you would
like to gain from your music/theory lessons.
I pride myself on providing friendly (and patient!)
private tuition for children and adults alike. Parents
are also very welcome to "sit in" on their
child's music lessons, if they prefer to do so.
My main aim during any lesson is to make learning
to play the instrument an enjoyable and fun experience.
With a bit of imagination even learning to play scales
can be fun! So, whether you wish to learn flute and/or
music theory, why not contact me to arrange your FIRST
LESSON FREE OF CHARGE.
I have over 25 years flute-playing experience and
have obtained the Licentiate of The Royal Schools
of Music (LRSM) in flute performance. I have been
a private music teacher for around 6 years now and
I have also worked as a supply peripatetic music teacher
for Education Leeds (something which I hope to resume
once my son is a bit older!). I am the principal flautist
of Leeds Symphony Orchestra, West Riding Opera and
Knaresborough Choral Society and I also play with
the Northern Wagner Orchestra and The Rehearsal Orchestra.
So, whether you wish to pass all of those Grade exams/diplomas,
or if you just want to learn to play for fun and relaxation,
please do not hesitate to contact me. Remember, you're
never too old to learn!
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
